What it does
Medical debt relief is a specific kind of assistance from our Benevolent Fund, focused on existing medical debt rather than upcoming expenses. Assistance can take the form of direct payment to a provider to settle an outstanding balance, negotiation with a provider for a reduced payoff, or, in some cases, full payment of an unpaid bill.

Open to anyone, regardless of membership in the cost-sharing community. Reviewed under the same need-based criteria as our broader financial assistance.

Please include: who the bill is for, the provider, the amount owed, how old the debt is, and a short description of the financial situation that brought you to us.
