What membership looks like.
Membership in the Newpath Medical community is participation in a voluntary cost-sharing program. This page walks through how that works in plain language: joining, contributing, getting care, and what happens when costs are eligible to be shared.
What the community is
The Newpath Medical community is a group of members who contribute monthly into a shared pool that helps cover one another's eligible medical costs. It's not insurance, and it's not a contract that guarantees payment. It's a community of people who agree to help one another and to abide by published guidelines for what gets shared.
How participation works
- 01
Joining
Enrollment is facilitated by Redirect Health, our healthcare and administration partner. They walk you through everything: the program guidelines, the contribution amount for your household, and the standard enrollment documents. Redirect Health's team handles enrollment end-to-end, and you'll complete the process on their platform.
- 02
Contributions
Monthly contributions depend on which plan level you choose, your age, and how many people in your household are joining. Contributions are voluntary in the sense that no one is contractually obligated to pay. Missing a contribution doesn't create a debt, though sustained non-contribution may end membership. The Newpath Medical community offers three plan levels (a routine-care plan, and two tiers that include hospital care sharing), with details and pricing available on the membership page.
- 03
Care
Members access care through the Redirect Health member app, which connects you to a 24/7 care team. The team helps you decide what kind of visit you need, schedules it, and follows up afterward. Care happens in Redirect Health's staffed clinics, through their virtual primary care service, or with any provider in the broader Multiplan PHCS network. Members can also add a doctor to the network ahead of a visit. Your existing provider may be eligible to join.
- 04
Sharing
Costs that fall within the program guidelines are shared among the community. The guidelines define what's eligible, what's not, and any waiting periods. Pre-existing conditions have specific rules; the full program guidelines are reviewed during enrollment.
- 05
If you can't contribute
Members who experience financial hardship can apply to have contributions reduced or waived under our Financial Assistance Policy. Approval is need-based and reviewed using Federal Poverty Guidelines and other criteria.
What membership is, and isn't
- This is voluntary cost-sharing, not insurance. There's no contractual guarantee any specific bill will be paid.
- The plan does not satisfy ACA minimum essential coverage requirements. State penalties may apply in states with individual mandates. See state notices.
- Members are personally responsible for their medical bills.
A note on structure: members of the Newpath Medical community sign two documents at enrollment. One is a membership agreement with Newpath Medical. The other is a care services agreement with Redirect Health, who facilitates day-to-day administration and care. Both are part of the standard enrollment process.

Not insurance.
Newpath Medical is not an insurance company, and membership in our voluntary cost-sharing community is not insurance. Participation is voluntary, and there is no contractual guarantee that any medical expense will be shared or paid. Members remain personally responsible for their medical bills. This program is not a substitute for health insurance.
